How To Make Ghanaian Bofrot

Ingredients:

3 cups all purpose flour

¾ cup white sugar

2 tsp Yeast

1 ¾ cups milk

1 egg 

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 – 6 cups oil of your choice (for frying)

How to make it:

In a bowl, mix together milk, sugar, egg and vanilla until the sugar is well dissolved. Set this on the side. 

In another mixing bowl, add the flour and yeast and stir together. 

Make a well in the middle of the flour and add the wet ingredients. Mix well until the batter is soft and stretchy.

Cover the bowl and leave it in a warm place to rise. About 45 minutes to 1 hour. 

In a pot, heat the oil on a medium heat. 

Using your hand or a tablespoon, scoop the batter and drop them in the hot oil. 

Careful not to splash the oil as you drop the batter into the hot oil.

Fry until golden brown. Take them out and rest them on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil.
