This is a favorite snack in our house. A very easy to make snack, and requires only two ingredients. This toffee is hard on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Ingredients:

14 oz Condensed milk

1 Tbsp sunflower oil or any oil of your choice

On a medium heat, use a non stick pan, add the condensed milk and sunflower oil. The reason for the oil is to prevent the toffee from sticking as it cooks.

Stir continuously. It will first turn into liquid as you stir. But will get thicker as it cooks.

The condensed milk will start to bubble and then start to thicken ( this will take 15 to 20 minutes before it begins to thicken). When this happen, stir vigorously. Try not to pulse or stop stirring at this time.

As you continue to cook and stir the condensed milk, the color will progressively change into a golden brown.

Turn the heat off and transfer the toffee onto a lightly oiled surface. Let it cool a bit, or until you can handle the temperature with your hands. Do not let it cool completely or it will be too hard to mold.

Roll and cut the toffee into any shape you prefer while it’s still warm.

Store in an air tight glass container.
