This is very easy to make. Make this in bulk and freeze them for whenever you need them. Great for tomato stews and soups. This can either be made with canned tomatoes or fresh ones. I use fresh tomatoes when tomatoes are in season. But will be using canned tomatoes for this recipe.

Ingredients:

6-8 (28oz) diced or whole canned tomatoes

3 large onions

How to make it:

Using a can opener, cut and open the canned tomatoes. Empty all 6-8 cans in a large bowl.

Peel the skin of the onions and cut them into chunks. Add the onions to the diced or whole tomatoes.

Using a blender, blend everything together into a puree.

Transfer the puree into a large pot. You can also cook this in small portions if you do not have a large pot.

Cook on a medium heat for 1 hour 30 minutes. Stir occasionally or every 10 to 15 minutes to make sure the bottom doesn’t stick and burn.

After 1 hour 30 minutes, turn the heat off and let the puree cool. About 4 hours

Store them in a freezer safe bowls. This can freeze up to 6 months or more. Perfect for a busy family.
