This is one of my favorite snacks in the world. A Ghanaian street food that is spiced and seasoned with goodness. Enjoy this by itself or with roasted peanuts.
Ingredients:
3 Ripe Plantains
1 Medium Size Onion
2 Tbsp Ginger
1 Tsp Whole Anise Seeds
1 Habanero pepper
1 Tbsp salt (or to your taste)
2 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)
How to make it:
Blend the onions, ginger, anise seeds, hot pepper and set it on the side.

Peel the plantains and cut into small cubes.

Mix the ripe plantains with the blended mixture. Make sure to coat every cube of plantain. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Heat oil on a medium heat and fry. Stir every 3 minutes.

Fry until it’s golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges.

Take it out, and place them on a dry paper towel.
